20 Indoor Date Ideas for the Holidays

The weather is getting colder and it’s sounding a little nicer to stay inside. Here’s a list of some fun date night ideas to try during the holidays!  The best part is you don’t have to leave the house.  Have fun, babe!

  • Build a fort and watch a movie in your living room
  • Try a new recipe & bake something fun together — Pinterest is a great place to start!
  • Have a tent? Put it up indoors, string lights inside and sleep there overnight
  • Grab a puzzle, make a cup of tea and tackle it together
  • Open 3 of your favorite wines and do a wine tasting 
  • DIY sundae bar — grab alllll of your favorite toppings (hot fudge, caramel, sprinkles, oreos, M&Ms, whipped cream, etc.) and get started making your masterpiece
  • Think outside the box — play 20 questions!
  • Create a DIY scavenger hunt — pick a theme, write the clues, place clues around the house and have fun!
  • Have a COOK OFF — Cook a 3 course meal (appetizer, main, and dessert!) One of you makes the appetizer and the other will make the main. Then, make a dessert together! Score each course 1 – 10. Whoever has the most points wins!
  • Put the Yule Log Fireplace on your TV and take out your favorite board games

  • Find 10 items around your house that describe you as a person
  • DIY Happy Hour – Ready to get creative? You’re going to create your own cocktails! Then, sample them together and see whose is the best!
  • Make DIY holiday decorations — Pinterest is a great place to get inspo!
  • At-home spa — Break out the lotion and bath salts. Give each other foot, hand, or back massages!
  • Put on your favorite song and dance together in your living room
  • Gather old photo albums or scrapbooks and tell stories behind the photos
  • Glam up — You ready? You get to put make-up on your significant other…  BLINDFOLDED! Once their makeup is complete, take the blind fold off, pick out each other’s outfit and then do a photoshoot on your phone!
  • Want to spice up an ordinary meal? Eat it picnic style on the floor in your living room
  • Have a hot chocolate tasting date
  • Make s’mores in the microwave — Break out the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows (and any of your other favorite treats)
